“Promoting Family Values”
MISSION STATEMENT
The mission of the J. C. Williams Community Center (JCWCC) is to provide hope to families through programs and services that provide spiritual enhancement and education, fight hunger, confront issues relating to our community, promote family values, assist the elderly, and empower the youth.
Free registration
After you've been registered, it will only cost you $1.00 each day you come to the facility - then you can take full advantage of the services provided.
Recreational Services for youth 17 and under:
• Open Gym • Computer access
• Arts & crafts • Ping Pong
• Foosball • Air Hockey
• Pool Table • Board Games
• Movie nights - Using the two state-of the-art projectors and projector screens, the system can also be used for power-point and video presentations.
Recreational Services for adults:
• Aerobics
• Open gym
• Support Groups:
• The W.W.H.O. (Wounded Women's Healing Oasis),
• Men's Empowerment
• Children’s Service
• High-tech Exercise Equipment:
• Treadmill • Elliptical machine • Cycling
• Senior Citizens Free lunch
• Blood pressure screenings
Grant Sponsored programs:
• MCAS and SAT preparation
• Homework Assistance
• Mentoring
• RIF program (that stands for Reading Is Fundamental) which offers free Book
Distribution, and promote reading among youths and families.
• Home ownership and savings programs
Family services:
• Open Pantry Community Services providing comprehensive services to people
who are homeless, hungry, or disadvantaged.
• Resource and Information Center
If we are unable to provide a specific service we want to be able to point you in
the right direction.
Facility Rental
• We also offer rental of the building and services. The building can be used to sponsor Athletic events,
as well as conventions, seminars and banquets with proceeds being rolled back into the center.
